Interview Quotes

OK. I'm going to type up some of the quotes I like from Interview with the Vampire. They are organized by who said them and the page numbers most likely only fit for my book (obviously). Enjoy.

Ok. That's all. Sorry I don't have any Lestat ones, I hadn't really been recording them until after he departed from the story. That, and most of what he actually *says* isn't all that deep, Louis' translations from Big-Man to Inner-Softy, make them deep.

Gahhhh. 1:00 A.M.

WOOOOO! My mom's going back to work!!!! Yay.
So, I had a pretty good weekend. Yesterday, I went to my cousin's (in Rockwall/home, not Denton/college), drove all the way there and didn't get lost once. Then we met up with six of her friends at the park and played volleyball. Luckily, everyone else sucked pretty bad too, so I came out looking pretty alright (there was a valedictorian on the other team, we totally creamed 'em). Then we went the the store and bought pizza rolls and icecream and went back to her house to watch Little Women, which was surprisingly good. My cousin ate a whole pint of icecream (cookies and cream) by herself, in one setting. Pig. Then today (technically this took place yesterday and the day before, as it is 12:41 as I write this, but technicalities are for losers... like equal exchange!) we went and picked up Kyle, who is the twin of Billy (this hag my cousin was dating pretty seriously for quite a while, who I've probably mentioned) and we went to see The Hulk. It was better than I was expecting. Kyle, who is decidedly more decent than Billy, was all excited and stuff (even though he'd already seen it) because he's some kind of comic book nerd, but that's okay, because he' s read the Dresden Files, so that makes him pretty cool, even if his favorite character is Michael. After the movie we went back to Lauren's house to change and walked down to the pool. Afterwards, returned, finished off the pizza bites, talked about random crap (Kyle wants to be a teacher, coach and writer, Lauren: a military psychologist, and I: an editor--of course) and then my scary aunt called Lauren and started chewing her out for who knows what, and we had to leave. Of course, now I'm dead tired, and have sunburn on my shoulders, cheeks, nose and partline, but all in all it was a pretty good weekend.
So, in other news, I am now on page 266. Almost there. It's too late to go into detail, but let's just say I have a few more quotes I want to write down. Maybe I'll eventually post all my favorites.
Lastly (I think), I will do the movie quotes soon! Possibly tomorrow.

01: Reply to this post and I'll assign you a letter.
02: List [and upload, if you feel like it] 5 songs that start with that letter.
03: Post that to your journal with these instructions.

01. Pick 15 of your favorite movies.
02. Go to IMDB and find a quote from each movie.
03. Post them here for everyone to guess.
04. Strike it out when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it and the movie.
05. NO GOOGLING//Using IMDB search or other search functions!

UPDATE: Hopefully.

Vampires and Fanboys

1st : I found a new band I like. Cinema Bizarre. They're a German, Japanese-influenced, band who sing in English. There are five members: Strify (lead vocal), Luminor (back up vocal, keyboard), Yu (guitar), Shin (drums) and Kiro (bass). Strify, Yu and Kiro met at an anime convention! They incorporate visual kei, glam and goth rock and new wave into their own style.

: I bought another cd!

3rd : I have finally gotten into Interview with a Vampire. I'm a little over 1/3 of the way through. So far, so good.

Early Morning

I set an alarm for 7:15 this morning, so I could get up and bid on a cd on ebay. I WON! Yay. My bid                                      was $6.49, then there's six dollars S&H.
Now I can only wait, wait, wait.

In six days I will most likely be bidding on this one,*points down*, which sadly (because that makes me kind of obsessive, but not really...I'm just a collector), is almost the exact same cd, only an earlier release (so laut du kannst is a remake) from before his voice changed.

Well, that's all for now.

P.S. Slowly but surely I am picking up some German. Next time we meet, address me as Fuhrer.

UPDATE: I totally missed the bidding for the second cd! :( Oh well.

I like this video. I came across it while hunting for the ever-elusive translated lyrics. It took some blood, sweat, and Cramped-Clicker-Finger-Syndrome, but I finally found them in another video on YouTube. You can read them in the cut.

This song was written by Tom (with Bill's help). It describes how a girl was outside his hotel room, and eventually knocks, wanting to know if they can "talk". And the rest is history. This is a story Tom has told in an interview of his first groupie. You can see it .::Here::.

Summer Stupor

Ugh! I'm so bored and it's only the third day of summer. I have absolutely nothing to say but I can't just sit around and do nothing, so I decided to come update my neglected lj. I think I am going to work on a rec list for all the fandoms I'm interested in, perhaps I shall post the initial results tomorrow.  Until then I have to fill the space and time with witty banter....

Yo momma's so fa  ...... no.

Anyways, I've been acquiring some of the music on my want list, and have been inspired to make an AMV, or at least to want  to make an AMV. My concept is pretty much that of grimmxhime's He's Let You Go, where the twins grow apart because one (now which one was it again??) is falling for Haruhi, with the song Do You Know? by Inrique Eglesias. It's got a rather upbeat, pop sound with rather depressing lyrics. I think it works well with the twins' (and the host club's) outward silliness, but inward dilemmas. Listen to it .::Here::.

I'm really tired now, so I'm going to go to bed.
Hasta manana.

P.S. I so totally made this icon!! Well, except for the actual drawing part... that I didn't do.... but I put it all together!!

So, I just finished re-reading Twilight and New Moon and reading Eclipse, and I have to say I still think the first was the best. Also I was a little disappointed in the ending... Jacob's run off to be his true self... and sadly that doesn't mean he's eloping with Sam (or Embry), over a girl who he's simply infatuated with (not in a wolfy or a vamp way) and is rude to all the dang time. Suck it up like a leech, dogboy. We don't get to see Bella transform so, so far, she's just plain ol' weepy, wimpy. whiny, and recently horny, Bella. No one slaughters Jane OR Felix..... There is ENTIRELY to much waterworks. If the book went on any longer there wouldn't be any conflict because a GREAT FLOOD would come and everyone but the Quileutes (with their tree canoes) and the Vampires (with their not needing to breathe) would be dead and then Jacob and Edward would become monks and morn the loss of the love of their lives. Which could turn interesting because their's no telling how the whole partially-bald thing would work on a wolfed-out Jake. Anyways, that's the end of my rant for now. Otherwise the series is o.k. though maybe she should have just stopped after Twilight. BTW: I have a cold.
Signing off.

and all that jazz....

Come into my parlor...

Okay. So you've seen this levi commercial before. Not all that great. (PUSH PLAY BUTTON)

Yesterday, for the first time, I saw THIS one. Same commercial- different spin. Possibly the best thing that's happened all week.
